My 'smart' TV had become a dumb TV as out of support, so I fixed it with this nifty and good-value device
1 of 1 found this helpful Was ok with buying the 'EU plug' version in the UK because I didn't need the power supply as the TV had an unused USB socket. However, the supplied model did not have an option to select the UK as a valid country during setup; India, USA, South Africa - yes, UK - no ... go figure? Seems to work just fine once initial setup completed, but slightly worrying at the time.
Unfortunately many of the UK TV network apps (e.g. BBC iPlayer, ITV Hub, All4) appear not to be certified on this hardware so either won't install or won't run even if you can install them. However, this is not a deal-breaker for me as you can use the Chromecast built-in to the Mi Stick to cast from the app on another device. or you can access iPlayer via Kodi.
