Improved version of Sparkle Drive - more tonal colors/gain, better switch
Bought MOD unit to replace original Sparkle Drive which developed intermittent problems with the switch and "white noise" @ certain settings (this had been serviced before by Voodoo Labs).
Took a chance on the new unit because I really liked the tone of the original and heard they had changed the switching mechanism.
The new unit performs well (the switch IS different) & includes not only the sounds of the original, but many other tonal choices. The "clean blending" is available @ all gain levels. It functions well either as a primary boost/overdrive unit or lead pedal... This will stay on my pedalboard.

Great guitar value for $
Far superior to comparable Epiphone models...
Pickups clearer with less distortion than usual overseas offerings. Great neck profile, med. jumbo frets nicely leveled. Finish & binding excellent. Good neck/body balance. Weight 8#1oz. Comes with quality gig bag. A blast to play!
Improvements - 3 way switch rattles and feels cheap. Output jack does not instill confidence for long term use. HOWEVER, the wiring is neat and tidy with good wire length and proximity of both to large f-hole made replacement far easier than usual 335 style guitar. I had a spare tonepros locking bridge laying around so I installed it as I felt there was less play in the saddles than the original. Very satisfied with this instrument.
