Great edition
very nice edtion, deserves same attention as Henle or Wiener

Recommended Schubert
Very sensitive and nuanced rendition of Schubert. Obviously Boss's take is more atmospherically and psychologically inclined than those of other most other performers.

As good as it gets
Outstanding renditions of Beethoven sonatas. Great balance of chords, very clear singing melody line, always clear articulation, clean passagework and good delivery of the overall character and shape of the pieces.
Besides, hearing these all-too-well-known works side by side, one cannot help realising why they're so popular: it's the quality of these works what has made them so popular, and it's the popularity that has given them nicknames, and not the other way round, as some suggest.
If you don't have Brendel's Beethoven recordings, this is a must have
