Difficult to Light Charcoal Discs

These are difficult to light, even using a blow-torch lighter, especially after the roll has been opened for a few days. They do not continue to burn well, and seem to go out before being fully burnt. They do not give off much smoke which is good - but maybe because they have stopped working. Although the price seems good value, they just don't work anything like as well the Charcoal Discs from Mount Athos.
