Review of the Sennheiser MX 550 Consumer Headphones
1 of 1 found this helpful Having bought a Japanese made MP3 player,and having used it for some days I realised that the supplied "in ear phones" where letting it down.I tried several different Japanese "in ears" and came to the conclusion, as with loudspeakers, that the in ear response is tailored for oriental likes. The only reasonably priced European phones I was aware of where the Sennheisers, and having used many of their microphones over the years, I purchased a pair. The performance leaves nothing to be desired whatsoever,nothing brash or brassy, but a smooth extended high to low response. The only niggle,as the cable split is NOT a "Y" but a "U" I would gladly have sacrificed the inline volume control for a clip enabling the cable to take any strain rather than your ear!. All in all they outperform many phones upto 3 times the price, but at this price FAULTLESS. Need extended listening to fully appreciate, possibly not a teenagers choice, but well worth the effort.
