It was just as I expected and Mr. Ingham shows numerous pictures and writes accurate descriptions of items he has for sale. He packaged my ledgers so carefully, shipped them quickly, kept me informed on their journal across the pond and they arrived in perfect condition. One for your holiday reading
A first-class page turner with an excellent plot, good characterisation and plenty of action.
The romance in the book seems to have been added because the author thought it necessary. Why authors think this way, I know not. In this instance it simply gets in the way of an otherwise ripping yarn.

Practical and of pleasing appearance.
On the whole, a strong well-made basket which is aesthetically pleasing and an attractive piece of furniture by the hearh.
My only quibble is that whilst one of the handles is thick and robust the other is thinner and this is where there will be problems in the years to come.

Promised much in the title but gave little in content.
There are some good moments between Holmes and Watson in many of the stories but I found the plots generally tame and bland. There was no real excitement. Altogether a disappointing collection. Also, in this Penguin edition I found the font size too small for comfort, an often encountered problem with this publisher.
