A great addition to the tool box

Bought this to complement the big and heavy Makita I use for heftier jobs. Horses for courses - everything in its place. What a pleasure to use the Dewalt - one-handed, light and no lead to watch. The same excellent quality as my other Dewalt tools.

An excellent tool

It makes light work of an otherwise tiring job, particularly for knotty wood which takes forever to split with an axe and wood grenade.

Great rod rest, big profit for manufacturer.

Have used these for years on my boat and just replacing one which broke probably due to UV-hardening. They are expensive for what they are - a couple of bits of moulded plastic, but functionally they're first class.
