Great, but not without niggles.
1 of 1 found this helpful Bought this to replace a "myjack aux Bluetooth receiver". Good build quality, no option to switch unit off, which in this day and age of energy paranoia is somewhat strange? Lights on the front are way too bright so put a sticker over it. Sound quality and volume output far better than unit it replaced but not CD quality, good enough for streaming though. Biggest downside was the LDAC Bluetooth output on my phone was unstable and I had to contact the DAC manufacturer and mess about downloading software to update it. This should be done by the distributer/retailer IMO. However, to be fair the update worked and I am a happy customer. Good solution of you have an ageing hi-fi and you don't want to replace it all.

Lovely hardware, expensive software.
This unit was acquired to replace the utterly hopeless Dakota 20 which never worked properly out of it's box. Having talked to various friends I was pointed in the direction of the Map60. I use the unit solely for flying a paramotor so the electronic compass and barometric altimeter is a must. I have found it very easy to use and calibrate (just follow on screen instructions) and also highly accurate because my rise and sink rate is also displayed. Although this model has been superceded, it's build quality is far more robust than it's replacement. The only down side is the map detail preloaded, which is quite frankly, pointless as any feature smaller than Tokyo does not appear! This is not a concern for aviation but BUYER BEWARE! Garmin will sting you hard for the maps (you have been warned).
I'm also pleased with the battery consumption as the two AA Duracels which I put in two months ago are still going!!
