what might have been
1 of 1 found this helpful I bought this album after reading some very positive reviews about it online.
The music on this disc is pretty darn good. The band is tight and the guitarist has a nice clean tone, but plays with aggression and nice thick sound.
Here's the problem: the lyrics. Not the vocals, the singer actually has a pretty cool voice. The Lyrics. They're bad. Most of the time, they suffice and fit the moment. However, there were a couple of lines that just made me cringe. That bad. Anyway, if the music weren't as good as it is I wouldn't even have bothered reviewing this disc. It's just that some of those lyrics are so terrible, it ruins the whole album for me. Musically, I'd rate this about 3.75 out of 5. Not overwhelmingly good, but the guitarwork is pretty fresh and a little unique in spots.
If Virus 7 could have consistently strong lyrics, they quite possibly could go somwhere. Not with this cheeZe, though.
