Various Artists - Sixties Summer Love
This is a great mix of songs from the 60's! my favourite era for music. I bought this because I have a couple of other albums of 1960's music and wanted to have a wider selection of songs. The Kinks with Waterloo Sunset' and Georgie Fame's 'Sitting in the Park' are amongst my favourites, with 'Wondrous Place' at the top!

Westlife - Coast To Coast
The country's 4th biggest selling album of 2000 and is Westlife's biggest selling album to date, according to Wikpedia. These great guys fit the melody of their vocals to well written lyrics here, as expected. Not my usual choice in music. I bought this album because I enjoyed another by Ronan Keating and expected Westlife to be quite similar in style and content. The love songs run on a theme of illusions of losing in love and the distance that can be created in time and space, whether from a lover a long time ago or far away just now. It's a sad(ish) album, so get your hankies/tissues out! Maybe we all have to go through this stuff, but including Abba's song 'I Believe in Angels' lifted me up again without wiping any tears. There are nice melodies in the tracks, some fused with electronic sounds. It's Pop and Pop music will always be what it is, popular. My favourites are 'Dreams Come True' because I believe that they do! plus 'When You're looking Like That' because I find humour in the lyrics and the upbeat tempo (for me) suggests a get-up-and-show-them attitude.

Original Soundtrack - Men In Black
Excellent film, soundtrack and lyrics. It's not just the sexy voice of Will Smith that makes this album a well played one! (personally I prefer Tommy Lee Jones). The tracks on this album all put levels of strength and determination in me when the 'bogeymen' of fear wreak havoc (or try to), more so that there's a good force out there making sure we're safe in this playground called 'Life'. My favourite track? 'We Just Wanna Party With You' because it reminds me that we're all able to join together and have a bit of fun dancing and listening to good wholesome vibes. De La Soul's track 'Chanel No.Fever' is funky enough for me to dance to and remember.. 'We're going up, up, up.. it's the fever' ;)
