Great deal for a small, nice sounding harp
I've been considering ordering an Aklot 15 string harp for a while, and I'm happy I finally got one.
It's very lightweight, comes with a decent quality gig bag, and comes with a strap and tuning wrench. Like all harps, it will go out of tune repeatedly for a week or so, but honestly after a couple tunings, it stayed in tune longer than many, although after 30 minutes, many of the strings were flat again, which is normal.
And it sounds very pretty. Light, not overbright, no muted strings, strings sound like a combination of a bell and a classical guitar.. It's really delightful. The lowest note is middle C, a little higher than my 34" scale harp.
If you want to learn the harp and you're on a budget, or if you want a small, lighter weight harp to play shows, carry at festivals or carry on hiking trips, in my opinion, the Aklot 15 string harp should be one of the first to consider..

FreeStyle Lite strips - my personal favorites
I've used a lot of meters and strips over the past few years. Each had their own issues, some more than others, but FreeStyle Lite strips, which are used with the FreeStyle Lite and FreeStyle Freedom Lite meters, ise the absolute smallest blood sample of any I've used and the strips wick the blood in the fastest. I use my thigh for samples, but I haven't had a single strip I've had to throw away since I started using these, a first.
On the downside, these strips are expensive compared to any others I've used except maybe other types of FreeStyle strips, but for me it's worth the extra money to never have to rush to try and get more blood on the strip or throw some away without a reading. The bottom line - FreeStyle Lite strips rock!

Long zoom in a fairly small, light package with lots of features
3 of 3 found this helpful The P610 is the smaller brother of the P900, which zooms out to an incredible 2000mm. But here's the thing - if you don't need the full 2000mm, the P610's 1440mm is still very long, while the camera is much smaller and lighter.
The camera has some auto type modes, but I use it mostly in manual (and having 2 dials is very helpful for this) as well as program and shutter priorities. I use the Fn button to control ISO, but usually auto ISO is pretty good, and you have a large variety of options you can assign to the Fn button. Colors and color balance are good, stabilization is very good. The EVF is a big plus for me - I'm a viewfinder shooter. My images are turning out higher quality in lower light than similar pics I've seen from other users on Flickr and dpreview, so there seems to be some sample variation.
I do wish Nikon had given the P610 and P900 RAW support, but the JPGs are pretty respectable. And while this is fairly small for a superzoom bridge camera, it's not going to fit in anyone's pants pocket. Since I don't put cameras in my pants or shirts pockets, not a problem, but if you do, this isn't the camera for you.
If you need to shoot really far away objects or high birds in flight, the P900 might be the better camera for you, but I must say the P610's price for the Nikon refurbished price is really a great value. And overall, if you don't mind shooting JPG, this is a fun camera with plenty of zoom.
