Reelin' In The Years is the Inside Steely Dan book for YOU!
Constantly compelling, always insightful, a well written, well researched look at the song writing team of Becker and Fagen. If you wanted/needed to know anything/EVERYTHING about Steely Dan and ALL the behind the scenes there of, THIS is the book for you! My ONLY critical comment has nothing to do with the content of the book and that is...the print type of the book is kinda small, but maybe that just because my eyesight is going, and the book probably would have had to have been twice as big otherwise. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Something for everyone in this book of horror/ werewolf stories
A wonderful collection of short stories about and revolving around the mythos of the WEREWOLF. Presented in chronological order starting in the late 1800 and going up to 1969, there is a wide breath of moods, styles and themes. Some have a rather historical feel to the narrative, while others have more of a 'who dunnit' approach. Of the 13 shorts, I'd say 7-8 are quite strong, rendering both a juicy werewolf story with plenty of foreboding, creepy atmosphere. Having said that, I feel there is something for everyone within the pages of this book and a true fan of horror/ werewolf stories will not be overly disappointed. My personal favorite of the bunch was written by H. Warner Munn: The Werewolf of Ponkert, and it turns out there is a collection of his OTHER werewolf stories, all of which are related to one another, (which I have actually just purchased!), which I highly recommend. In my opinion, Brian J. Frost did a fine job compiling these stories culled mostly from Weird fiction magazines. So well compiled n fact that I have also just purchased his Essential Guide to Werewolf Literature, which I am just about to start reading. In it, he gives a bibliography of plenty more collections of werewolf stories. I can't wait to sink my teeth into it! Perhaps I'll write a short review of that one as well, when I'm done.

The Devil Rides Out: One of Hammer's Best!
Based on a book by Dennis Wheatley, this solid Hammer movie is one of my all time favorites. With a great performances from the late, great Christopher Lee and Charles Grey (as the head of the devil worshipping cult), there is no small amount of class to their respective roles. Is the production predictable? Why,yes. Is the ending weak? Yes, yes it is. Do I think these points will matter to devout horror fans? No, I do not! The DVD has been out of print for a long while, and I just shelled out $25 for a used copy, and I consider it money well spent. Definitely in my list of top ten favorite horror movies.
