Great product, at a great price, but one niggle
1 of 1 found this helpful This is great product, at a great price, and looks identical to others for sale at least £100 more. The interchangeable mandrels are also great and are included in the already great price.
I have one niggle with it though, the 2 notch plates that sit on the rail are only a couple of mm longer than the support rail, hence when locating the work piece, they fall off all too easily, which becomes pretty frustrating! I’m going to modify mine by welding on an overhang on each side to stop this from occurring, but it could be so easily avoided if only they were 10mm longer.
I’d definitely recommend the kit though.

A perfect replacement
I was really disappointed when the drive wheel failed in my B&D power file as it’s such a versatile tool. However, I quickly found this replacement arm... it was delivered toot-sweet and installed on arrival. Power file revived it was pressed straight back to work and runs like a dream. Thank you.

An excellent tool
Far better than my corded planer, the Dewalt is perfectly balanced, offering great depth control and leaves a perfect finish. The quality feels superb and the optional extra dust bag is cavernous! I highly recommend it if you’re in the market for a new planer.
