A Value packed Kenwood flagship!!
The DNX773S is an example of Kenwood's continued commitment to quality and improvement. I did an exhaustive amount of research on all Kenwood models in this range for the past three years because their feature set has been the most user friendly and intuitive for the better part of a decade and I wanted a new deck with that same configuration. The interface is fast and responsive. The display is bright and clear without overpowering you in the night. The ability to customize panels and tiles like a smartphone is straightforward. All of the sound settings, filters and crossovers are customizable to the nth degree. You also have so many different sources supported for media even to the point where the navigation doesn't use one to function! The navigation by Garmin is very fast and is basically instantly available with split screen views available. The only reason I didn't give it a 5 is because some of the features listed as available are not present: CD-text, source specific power antenna control. The other reason is the lack of support for Android Auto for the full suite of major current android phones like the Note5, the Pixel and the S7 snd S8 in some instances, but that's more Google's fault for changing the operating systems for each phone every 3 months so that every phone operates and transfers data differently AFTER signing off on one method with the manufacturers! A great deck in every other way though.
