It worked for the RDR VX555
My old remote went bad so I ordered this replacement. Worked fine out of the box. I run the DVD/VHS player (RDR VX555) only and it was advertised as replacement for the remote that came with the DVD/VHS. Buttons are in different places than the original but I have no issues. I have not used this with the VHS player so cannot comment on those functions
