Making a Roof Rake
This item is exactly what we were looking for: A tall sturdy adjustable handle for a 18 ft rake to remove leaves from the rain gutters of our 2-story home. Our gutters have leaf guard screens, and we have a metal roof.
We are attaching a leaf rake (with shortened handle) to the top of the Snow Joe handle that will remove leaves that build up on top of our rain gutters and the lower part of our metal roof:
The rake handle must be mounted at a right angle to the Snow Joe handle because the Snow Joe handle will be almost straight upright due to the height of the roof. A cord hangs down to the gound from where the two handles are attached. A second person gets behind the person holding the Snow Joe handle upright, and (gently) pulls the cord to pull the leaves off of the roof.
