Turn off Control for HDMI if you have trouble powering it on.
Mine wouldn't turn on at first using the remote, but it turns out there's a setting that makes it be controlled by the TV that I just had to turn off because my TV wasn't compatible. (System Settings > HDMI Settings > Control for HDMI > Off)After that, it's been working great with the remote. It also connects to my bluetooth headphones, which is a huge plus.

Small visual defect, but works great
Good:
I like this alarm clock because it has 2 easy to set alarms. You have + and - buttons, so if you miss your minute you don't have to cycle all the way back around. Also, it can show you both alarm times along side the main time display. The alarm seems nice and loud, you probably won't sleep through it.
Bad:
There is a little bit of white light bleeding on the top edge, which detracts from the beauty of it, but doesn't impair the function. There is no 24 hour option. The colors a bit bright for me, I wouldn't want it by my bed (fine for the office though, and it does have a dim setting).
