Technics Vintage Car Audio Radio with Amp
    19 Mar, 2019
Quality vintage car audio, but understand it's not brand-spanking-new and you're on your own for troubleshooting.
Pros: It's definitely New Old Stock. Almost every single function worked first time on power up. The quality of construction is apparent. The interior of the headunit is pristine with quality parts (I didn't notice any corrosion or leaking capacitors). It has a nice integrated EQ with spectrum analyzer. The volume control feels solid and smooth. The FM tuner sounds nice. The buttons feel solid with a nice click. The documentation is clear and includes the pin-outs of the DIN connectors which takes the guess work out of building an audio adapter. This unit has a DIN plug allowing the connection of a CD player so there is the possibility of interfacing the headunit with a modern amp and adding an external audio input or bluetooth audio adapter. The cassette section seems very well constructed and smoothly loaded and ejected a tape; I'm not sure it uses belts. The included amplifier is half-DIN size and can be stacked above or beneath the headunit. The amplifier itself has good sound quality (caveat, I didn't test it fully so you'll have to be the judge). Both units have nice orange nighttime illumination. Cons: Despite being brand-new in the box, don't expect everything to work perfectly out of the box. As stated above, all the functions of my units--preamp stage, turner, and the amplifier and even every function of the cassette section--worked first try out of the box. But, there was no audio output from the cassette section to the preamp stage (I was expecting an issue and this could be an easy fix). The amplifier provides the headunit with illumination and switched ignition 12-volts. If you don't have the included amplifier (or an adapter with those feeds) plugged in, the headunit will not power up. Also, you might run into trouble with loading and ejecting some cleaning cassettes; my Philips cleaning cassette got stuck in the transport and I had to open the unit up (made easy with philips screws). But I had no trouble with loading and ejecting other cassettes. Finally, don't expect to find new factory replacement parts or warranty coverage; you're on your own. If you come across a matching Technics CD player, make absolutely sure that its DIN-plug is pin-compatible with the headunit (refer to the included documentation), otherwise you will cause damage. I strongly recommend getting the factory service manuals for the headunit and amplifier to help in troubleshooting problems. Bottom Line: If you're into electronics and realize that you're dealing with 30-year-old equipment (albeit new, unused and pristine), this could be a good value to you if you want something period-correct in your circa 1987 car, truck or SUV. It's real quality equipment and that it works after sitting for three decades is a testament to Japanese build quality. But be prepared to deal with age-related problems such as leaky capacitors, belts and something not working properly.

Lexus GS250 GS350 GS300h GS450h Side Mud Flaps Guard Genuine OEM Parts 2012-15
    09 Sep, 2019
You can't beat OEM for fit and finish.
The color match is perfect and you can't beat the fit and finish of an OEM part. All four installed easily and without having to put the car on the lift or remove the wheels using regular hand tools, an alcohol wipe and a Swiss Army knife. You don't even need to use all the included fasteners. Just two longer bolts, four screws, four clips and two longer plastic clips. You reuse the remaining factory fasteners. The appearance is so subtle that you don't notice them. It's expensive, but worth it.
