Better build than expected.
Not sure it's improvement over the Fender MIM Telecaster, but, it's as good as any I've played. Quality build. Love the maple neck and fretboard. Finish is beautiful. The pickups and electronics are just okay. I may swap them out some day; no hurry. I had it professionally setup. Tech had to cut the nut slots a little deeper to lower the strings. Plays great now.

Simply the best strap lock system.
Quality materials, ease of installation, and fairly low profile make the Schaller 445 the best strap lock system I've found.

If you liked the likes of Forster, O'Brian, Kent, and Pope, this series gives you the same stories from the view point of the pressed man. You need to start with Stockwin's first title, "Kydd". I actually liked his first novel better than this one, but, I plan to read them all, or until I get bored with the story.
Stockwin claims that he is able to be truer to history than his earlier contemporaries since his protagonist is "below decks" and wouldn't have made the history books.
I enjoyed the details and explanations as to what it actually took to keep one of those battle ships of sail in top fighting condition.
