This IS The One!!!
Back in the 70's and 80's I had a couple of homemade talkboxes. Either they didn't work very long or my amplifier didn't work very long. I sort of soured on ever using a talkbox again, until I came along and discovered the Rocktron Banshee. I briefly tried one of the Dunlop talkboxes (a one night stand) about 10 years ago but that just scared me that I was going to blow up my vintage tube amp (that would be costly) again plus it was a total pain in the rear to hook up in the speaker path. The Rocktron Banshee is easy to hook up and my only concern is that one of these days I'm going to mess up and hook up the speaker output to my amp input and blow the preamp. The sound that the Banshee puts out is amazing. It's loud enough to make my head rattle when I hit the right notes. There isn't a single tune that you can't do on this. Sweet Emotion...no problem. Do You Feel Like I Do...well no I don't because I'm the one playing the guitar through the Banshee. Rocky Mountain Way.....Joe Walsh look out. Beverly Hills...OMG here's the ticket. I would replace this immediately if it were lost or stolen. The unit acts as a floor effects pedal and is not in the speaker chain, it goes between your guitar and amp and cuts the signal to the amp and routes it to an internal amp on the Banshee which then sends the sound out the tube, into your mouth, through the microphone and arrives at your audiences ears as a pleasing sound. I plan on putting a bright colored piece of tape on it to make sure that no one inadvertently blows up my amp.

Sounds Great
I’m using this for rehearsal mainly to cut down in cords in the basement and it works better than a wired mic.

Just Plain Fat
Without a doubt this is the fattest sounding synth I have ever played. And I've played a lot of them. Easy to get around on, just start twiddling knobs and changing the sound. If you don't have a basic idea of how subtractive synthesis works this is a great polyphonic synth to learn on.
