Great value in a rugged, hardened glass screen, smart phone!
For a sapphire/g-glass screen, in excellent condition, in a hardened phone = all good! My first smart-phone, that I actually use the full functionality. I can understand why people like a larger screen, but that was not the point with this purchase - smaller, cheaper, works. I still remember to turn it off, often, so the technology does not completely invade my life, keep me awake at night.

New elastomer for old pump fitting - seems OK for now.
I've had a 'classic' Silca floor pump since the mid-1980s. The original rubber seal for the presta side finally failed, June of 2017. I was hesitant to but the expensive, newly designed repair part, but with little other choice, if i were to keep using the pump, made the purchase. Nothing else on the pump has failed, even with mouse bites on the hose over the years. A screw has come loose, but nothing a real problem over more than 30 years = yeah!
I've inserted the new seat and used it a few time, and wear has already started to show. The inner most diameter is quite small, making insertion hard, even with twisting to engage the screw threads on the valve. So, I've resorted to forcing the fitting over the valve, by just pressing, no twisting. Seems to work, but the damage is apparent. Maybe the ID will enlarge enough to make twisting on the head possible in the future, but that does not seem possible at present - as too much air leaks out of a filled tire while trying to thread on the presta side of the head.
With the original fitting, I always twisted on to the valve, in part because of the reduced wear and better engagement at higher pressures. I can pump up to 100 psi, a bit more, without issues, for road bike tires, with the new fitting. Time will tell, in a few weeks, as I pump at least a tire very other day.
