Great source of tile information and inspiration from Portugal
Lovely quality book and CD Rom with a great variety of traditional Portuguese Tiles. I ordered this book following participation in an online art and mixed media course. The instructor referred to a similar book that contained pre printed Portuguese tile designs on papers to tear from the book. As I was unable to find that particular book as it had been withdrawn from print, I found this one "Tile designs from Portugal" by Diego Hurtado de Mendoza. I was able to print off tile designs in different sizes on my PC from the CD Rom and so left the book intact. It was a little pricey, but well worth it in the long run as I am sure I will use it often (especially the CD Rom). I am very pleased with my purchase.

The Newcomer - Fern Britten
I purchased this book as a gift so have not actually read it myself. The recipient has read other books by Fern Britten and requested this as a gift for Christmas. It looks like a book I would enjoy too. I may well read it myself before I give it as a present.
