"Ghosts" With The Mosts are the Sooks With The Kooks.

Delightfully astute and skilful buddy comedy with a wonderful blend of silliness, farce, drama and poignancy, with a real love for its characters. Deeper than you'd expect on an emotional level and above all, ending on a pleasing and supririsngly sweet high note. The Horrible History creators have pulled off an extremely fine show here. A great gift for my sister, but a highly enjoyable and sweet watch for me, and every different from the paucity of entertainment-free shows stuffing up the TV schedules.

Wild Things Is One Hell Of An Animal

After a gap equalling the one between her ground-breaking debut and the less than special follow-up, she is back to her synth-drenched best here. Two classics-and both rightly became singles- stand out straight away-the solid, punchy 'A Love Song' and the beautiful and invigorating spell of the gorgeous title track. But each of the tracks transmit its own flavour and, just like the highest points of her debut, when she's firing across the wilderness with her hook-filled winners, she brings to mind the great Kim Wilde with her 80s approach-in other places, you'll hear other inspirations like OMD and The Human League. Phillipa Brown is an undoubted talent in a world too lacking in it, and fans should be ecstatic she's back with a sure-fire winner. And it may win new fans. You simply got to buy it, and you'll love it.
