Pleasantly Surprised
I have used 3rd gen doorbell cameras previously and, to be honest with you, bought this Gen 2 in error. However, having said that, it’s an error that worked in my favour. The Gen 2 video quality is definitely an improvement on the Gen 3 (you think it would be the other way around, wouldn’t you?) and there are no connection issues with this unit. Definitely sticking with Gen 2 if I ever have to replace a unit again.
The backplates between the two units are different but still hold the unit securely.

Good vfm
Needed it to replace a cheap air pump - far easier, quicker and more superior product. Very happy with it.

Great machine except…
Okay, I’ve had this product for a week now. It has four functions - air fryer, microwave, convection oven and grill. I have had an opportunity to use all of them.
The machine itself is well built and very tidy, taking up only slightly more space than a regular microwave oven. It’s easy to clean with stainless steel finish on the inside - no ,ore worrying that the plastic layer will bubble up.
Now here’s the fun part - make sure you read the instructions because it is very easy to get onto the power settings instead of the cooking setting. Many a time I’ve pressed the wrong sequence and had to start from scratch.
MICROWAVE - the power setting gives you up to 900w and it’s simple to do - the timer is advanced by pressing the start button several times. There is another method but I’ve only had it a week so I’m still familiarising myself with the machine. Cooks very well.
GRILL - The grill function is great and works well on toast and bacon so far.
Now for the bad news:
AIR FRYER AND CONVECTION OVEN - I have used both functions and find that they do indeed work but the temperatures are not always what they should be. Whether this is part of the design or I just need more practice remains to be seen but I do know this - I find that I have to cook items for longer than I would a regular air fryer or convention oven. I’ve tested it against my regular oven and air fryer using the same time and temperature settings and the results are definitely inconsistent. It’s the only thing that makes this product lose one star.
In short, a good piece of kit for any kitchen but definitely familiarise yourself with the instructions beforehand.
One last thing - as with any microwave, make sure the metal racks are taken out before use. There is no warning label on the machine - I’ve made one myself to remind me to check before I use it. Might sound silly but it’s an expensive mistake to make with this machine.
