Use of Tool.
Works well in a auto garage, outdoors if there is little or no wind. If there is wind, wrap the shank with a small shop towell to retain heat and get the tip hot enough. The tool will not get hot enough to burn the shop towel. Surely better than dragging a long extention cord.
