Great improvement over ye olde horse blanket (or black t-shirt)
I'd been using a black t-shirt as a focusing hood, but while cheap and convenient, it allowed enough light in to make focusing problematic at times. When I picked up a new 4x5 camera, I decided to look for something purpose-built.
I was a little skeptical of the price at first, but it really is a well made product that gets the job done perfectly. The elastic is a little tough to fight when attaching it to a light weight folding 4x5 field camera, but once it's on there, it's great. At some point, having a velcro split that goes the entire length might be a nice feature to add, as stopping just short of the elastic means you have to futz with it a bit to get it on, rather than attaching it, cinching the elastic down and locking it in place with velcro.
All that said though, it's a vast improvement over anything I've ever used before, nice work!
