In the USA there is no good choice for an Electric Garden Chipper.
In the USA we are sold 120vac electric chippers. You can spend $150 to $200 to buy a very cheap Asian made shredder that is under powered and makes a lot of noise spinning itself into a quick death, or spend $1100 for a more rugged chipper from Patriot that takes a beating but still is an under power screamer. In Europe and other countries where 230 volts is used, 2600 watt chippers are available like the Bosch that quietly chew up branches with power to spare and last many years. I run this one from 240vac and can not figure out why we have to suffer with under powered tools on 120vac. This chipper is fun to feed.
