1 of 1 found this helpful The DC 10-40 is a wonderful aviation headset with passive noise reduction. It blocks out the worst of the engine sound in the Piper Cherokee I'm using for training, without clamping down on my head or hurting after wearing for a while. My only complaint is that the microphone does not always pick up my voice until after the first or second syllable. But that is a price I am willing to pay so long as it does not pick up all the engine noise. And the sound quality is good across the board. Obviously some used ones will be better than others, but the headsets are good quality, comfortable, and, I'm told, very durable.
