Even H1 Headphones With EarPrint Technology

Excellent sound from a low cost, high quality headphone

Really excellent sound once you've completed the 'onboard' hearing test. Very clear and dynamic. Comfortable, as well. The bass is given a bit of a lift, but enjoyably so, way short of the exaggeration from the likes of Beats. Recommended.

A budget DAC that takes on the big boys and wins

I've been on a DAC journey for several years. Tried many of the obvious mid-market offerings at several times the price (Rega, Audiolab MDAC, Anti-Mode, Jolida etc) and some more expensive (Wyred4Sound, NAD M51). All had their own flavour and balance of virtues - not a 'bad' DAC among them, really. But none actually stood out either. Then on an "eBay whim" I bought a used Chinese Xiang Sheng DAC-01A. Stunning, the clarity and dynamism that seemed to be lacking in all the others was clearly presented with this DAC. I kept it for over 2 years, very happy indeed with the sound. But all that time I had been aware of the NOS TDA1543 DAC offering in the form of the DAC3, just kind of niggling at me in the background. So after 2 years with the Xiang Sheng I thought I'd try it for a change - I could always return it for the promised refund. Well, it stayed. The DAC3 provides all of the transparency and resolution and dynamism of the Xiang Sheng DAC, and then adds a bit more and also a somewhat more refined and sophisticated sound. Even more like real music. To say that I am pleased with it would be an understatement.

HiFiMAN Focuspad A Replacement Earpads (For HE Series)

A very cost effective upgrade

I'm impressed by these. A significant improvement in the already excellent sound quality of my HE500 and HE400 Hifiman headphones. The sound is more focused and solid it seems more real and lifelike. More comfortable, too. A very cost effective upgrade.
