    These plates (I bought 2 from the same seller) are much more worn than the description suggested. They also look faded compared to others that I own., so I suspect they've been put through a dishwasher numerous times, which has faded them and damaged the surface. The seller refused to accept a return, and also claims that they're worth more than I paid, despite how worn they are.

More hocus-pocus than alchemy
Not a great design book. I like Ashley Hicks’ work - but this feels more like a dated piece of vanity publishing then an inspirational book on interior design. More crafty hocus-pocus than design alchemy.
