A great blu-ray! Milla is a hilarious commentator!
1 of 1 found this helpful For a movie I didn't like all that much in the theater, the blu-ray release of Ultraviolet is fantastic.
The quality makes this vivid movie jump off of my home theater system, and I actually enjoy it more that when it was on the big screen.
The commentary by Milla Jovavich is one the best I've heard. Instead of boring talk by the lighting director about how hard a certain shot was, or dry talk from a writer about the depth of the character not being fully realized... watching with the commentary on is tremendous fun. Milla is seeing the movie with all of the special effects put in right along side you, and it's like she's sitting there on your couch kabitzing about the movie. She has small funny stories about that day shooting and all kinds of insight you normally don't get from the commentary.
As a blu-ray release, I give this a "definitely get" for your collection.

Moving art, perfect for a party
After getting my new blue-ray player and 50" Plasma TV, I bought this movie. The quality of the images is astounding, definitely the best out of all of the blu-ray movies I now have. (Including "Planet Earth" and "Blue Planet")
I have found that Baraka is the perfect disc to just have playing during a cocktail party... after a few minutes, a crowd forms around the TV as people talk about the images they see. It's literally art.
The makers of this movie did an astounding job, and the score if fantastic as well.
If you have a high-end home theater system, you simply must have this movie.
However, should you play it during a party as I did, make sure nobody takes it. Yes, it's that good.
