Excellent value carrier
3 of 3 found this helpful Given its price I was expecting something a little cheaper looking, however I was surprised this unit is very well made and fits perfectly to the car and cycles.
All you need when purchasing this is a few cable ties to tidy up the light board cable. I tied mine to the carrier frame.

Fitted in less than 2 hours
The tow bar system is great and at this price point very well worth the money.
I fitted this to my 2017 C Coupe, however I did go find a different set of instructions as the ones supplied don’t offer much to help dismantle the car.
That aside don’t be put off, the car comes apart with relative ease and ensure you have a deep 10mm box spanner to get to the 2x bumper bolts in the boot.
My car has the premium plus pack with kick release boot and driver assistance pack in AMG line trim. No cuts need to be made to the actual bumper but you do need to cut a 100mm wide by 50mm deep section out of the wiring support tray within the number. You could remover the tray completely but I decided to cut.
As I really wanted a removable tow hitch at this price I made the following modification, I welded the 2x spacing plated that go either side of the tow hitch to the frame. That way I can slide the hitch into place and pass the bolts through without having to juggle the spacing plates.
The bolts for securing the tow hitch to the frame are easily accessible under the car and with a ratchet spanner I can undo and remove the hitch in less that 60 seconds this leaving the car with clean lines and no sign of a tow bar.
Great bit of kit at a great price.

Fitted to 2017 Merc C Coupe
Works perfect with a 2017 Mercedes C250d Coupe.
The only thing I found is that the side lights on my cycle carrier are always on, this is due to the Mercedes passing a small voltage along the sidelight cable when the Day light running lights are on. This voltage increases when the side light are activated by the car.
However due to a voltage being detected by this converter unit it triggers the sidelight relay. I personally don’t have an issue with this.
