Great outing worth the buy

The Late Charles Fambrough was one of Art Blakey's Jazz Messengers. He played the double bass but on this set he ventures beyond Hard Bop and the the Double bass alone. This set is more contemporary showing his range as a composer and it is indeed commercial and accessible. Be sure to grab some of his hard bop recordings too but this is a great starting set.
