Great headphones for the price
Great mixing/monitoring studio headphones, detailed with a bright sound signature.
They do not substitute higher priced headphones like Beyerdynamics DT990 or AKG K701, these are 5 to 9 times the price. That said, they're amazing for the price.
Bass is not very pronounced, but present from 20/30Hz.
They cost me £20, and have already proven to be a definite upgrade over my old Behringer HPS3000.
Pair these with a commercial good amplifier with stereo speakers for checking mix balance (they're bright on the highs, you need to make sure your mixes aren't muddy), and you're good to go.
Good for mixing every genre except dance or pop.
Not very pleasant for listening purposes. If you're looking for headphones to listen to music but are on a budget, try the HD681 or HD330 instead.
