Great tool, good price
1 of 1 found this helpful My new drill's first project was driving about sixty-five 2.5" deck screws into redwood. It made the work easy, and was still going as strong at the end as when I started. The grip was comfortable enough that my arthritic hands and wrists didn't ache afterward. I like the fact that the nice, bright LED stays lit for a few seconds when you release the trigger, so you can see to align the bit without its turning.
A few things could be improved: 1) the direction switch moves too easily, making it easy to bump it inadvertently into lock mode, or even the opposite direction. 2) the chuck tends to tighten as you work, and my arthritic hands then cannot loosen it without use of large pliers or a pipe wrench. 3) the refurbished unit I got came with a flat bit and a phillips bit. I would have preferred a dual bit that can be reversed, so there's no need to keep track of the one not in use.
Overall, an excellent purchase at a very competitive price. I like knowing that it will be ready to work when I need it. The spare battery is a bonus value that I may never require, but it would be valuable if I did.
