I've been won over!
I was never a Beyonce fan until now! Just something about these songs, can't get them out of my head. Especially "If I Were a Boy", and "Single Ladies(put a ring on it)". Thought she did a great job of "At Last" (sorry Etta!). I never would have believed it, but I have been won over.

Into the Wild, the book.
I first saw "Into the Wild" as a movie. The scenery was breathtaking but I disagreed wholeheartedly with the main character Christopher McCandless and his search for an idyllic lifestyle, with what I thought, a complete lack of responsibilities. I was also a fan of Jon Krakuer having read a previous book of his. I had a complete change of heart about Chris McCandless and I don't know why. His trek and the abandonment of society became very interesting to me and I wanted to read more about it. His tragic demise struck both a sympathetic chord with me, and another of "What the hell was he thinking?" Somewhere in between all those emotions I found the book mesmerizing.

The Entertainer
Be he your favorite Beatle or not, or some younger folks might only know Wings or maybe just his solo career, Paul McCartney always delivers a great show. I learned alot about the changing times of Russian life, and how the Beatles recordings were such a prized possesion during the Cold War. A highlight for me was when Putin arrived at the show and the description Paul gives from his stage perspective. I was left with a warm heart when you see so many people all singing the words to the Beatle songs always amazing! Great DVD, fun watch!
