Does the job at an affordable price

I use this to record guitars in Reaper. The "out" goes to my Focusrite and the "through" to my Marshall so I can record both amplifier sound and DO sound. It DOES the trick really well. I also have the previous version which could only be powered from an adapter and the ability to power this one from phantom power from the Focusrite is a bonus! Make sure to use an active DO to record a.passive guitar. I made the mistake of ordering a passive one first and the sound is too quiet to record from and introduced a background sound when boosted.
