GREAT LENS and VALUE
1 of 1 found this helpful Great lens. Good color and sharpness. For the money you save over the Nikon equivelent you will not be disappointed.
For this Tokina, to use Manual focus, you need to slide the focus ring towards the camera body, this disengages the clutch. Also remember to set lock your apperature ring, or you will get EE error messages.

Buy it if you can. You won't be disappointed.
2 of 2 found this helpful This is a great lens that compliments my 70-200 f2.8.
The f 2.8-4 fits almost any situation.
Although it is a DX lens, which I use on a D7000, I also routinely use it on my D600 with no vignette seen on the image (to the native eye, not pixel peepers).
Do be aware that as soon as you zoom out of 17mm, the 2.8 goes up to 3 and then after about 30mm to 3.2 and then at about 60mm it goes to f4, but, overall, is one stop that important? If it is, then pay 3-7x more for a 2.8 24-70...I doubt you will get your money's worth.
Just shot a wedding, I used this lens for the wide angle that my 70-200 couldn't get and it rocked.
The Macro works well, excellent clarity and proportion.
The OS seems to work, it is just a feature that is there (I don't have a need to shoot under 1/100...time will tell.)Filter size is 72.
Overall, for the price, this lens rocks either on a full frame or crop sensor.

Good flash for the price for K1
1 of 1 found this helpful The flash is good for bounce but doesn't rotate. For a brand name flash it is 100% compatible with Pentax K1. The only item that Pentax doesn't offer due to camera firmware is the ability to use the flash's IR beam, but rather for some reason on the K1 you can only use the green focus assist light from the camera. For a flash less than $200usd this offers more than 3rd party at same price.
