WEN 3922 16-inch Variable Speed Scroll Saw with Easy-Access Blade Changes

Not really easy-access, but still a great beginner scroll saw!
Overall this is a good beginner level scroll saw. If you've never done scroll saw work before, then this would be a good start. It is a solid piece of equipment but for me there were a couple of major drawbacks. First, it is NOT easy to change the blades. Getting to the underside is difficult, both for getting your hand in and to see. Second, I've had a lot of trouble using pinless blades. If all you use are pinned blades, it works great (other than changing them out). If you aren't going to do fine work with lots of sharp turns, then pinned blades are fine. Again, for a beginner, this probably isn't a big deal. Again, the price is right and a good value for the beginner. The quality as a whole is solid with my only complaint there being the difficulty in swapping out the blade. Beginner? Yes, absolutely, give it a try! Not a beginner? Stick with WEN and bump up a couple notches to one of their other models.

Awesome Puppy!
This puppy is awesome. No bells-n-whistles but it gets the job done. I had an el-cheapo from Harbor Freight and this was a much needed upgrade. Feels good in the hand and provides readings in several units, including fractions. Case is nice too so it doesn't get slammed around with all the other stuff in the drawer.
