Re-use boiler PCB and save the World!
Clearly an identical PCB to my faulty unit, in all visual respects. clean and well packaged for transit. Minimal waiting time (next day) probably beats source and supply of brand new part. Once fitted in my boiler it worked first time and so proved by substitution that my PCB had failed - probably the miniature relay but I've not got into the detail of repair yet.
At approximately 1/3rd the price of a brand new PCB we've collectively saved me some cash, helped the environment and supported British business:-) Time will tell if this strategy wins out long term but as our boiler is already 9 years old it would be a little daft putting £170 replacement new part in only to find that its next failure is terminal. Mind you I guess the PCB could again be recycled!
Repair & re-use may help reduce land fill.
