Professional Studio Condenser Cardioid Microphone for Recording With Shock Mount
When I bought this I wasn't expecting much but I was actually surprised when I got it. The weight of the mic was about the same as my old peavy i 100. instead of using the xlr to 3.3mm cable i used my own xlr to xlr cable for my focusrite, turn't on the 48v phantom power and was blown away. The gain on my interface was only at about 15% to 20% and it sounded like it was at 50% picking up my voice clearly. It would only pick up background noise if I went beyond the actual gain of 60% but I have a loud voice and trust me anything between 15 and 50% is just fine. For voice over music song recording you may have to do a little editing like Eq's to take out some frequency's but other than that you're good to go. I recommend this for beginners and pro's on a budget. For the price of this equipment and with the equipment i needed and already had it was way worth it. Here's some advice for anyone looking to buy this mic 48v phantom power is good to help and should be required but I highly recommend getting a interface with 48v phantom power and built in pre amps to get the best overall quality, lucky for me i already had that. The shock mount works great too now i can get to work and not have to worry about upgrading for a while.

Focusrite Scarlett Solo
1 of 1 found this helpful I love this, it feels sturdy 48v phantom power for condenser mics works well with my dynamic mic it adds a little more bass to it. A little bit of latency but it is better than my old alesis io2 interface well worth the money for solo recordings.

MXL 990 Blizzard Limited Edition Condenser Microphone
When I plugged it and turned 48v phantom power I was already loving the LED Lights. It sounded warm, nice mids and crisp highs. I use was surprised that i didn't have to do that much mixing so it takes a load off and for the price its amazing.
