A Soundtrack 65 Million Years in the Making
The main theme to Jurassic Park may be the most beautiful theme ever written for a film in my opinion. I would rate it with Exodus, Dr. Zhivago, Chariots of Fire, The Magnificent Seven, Star Wars, Schindler's List, The Godfather, Superman and West Side Story. I really enjoy more modern themes like Transformers 3, Panic Room, Fight Club, Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End and The Grand Budapest Hotel as well, but none have ever captured my imagination the way this score did back in 1993.
This is my third copy of the album. The first shattered and the second was stolen. MP3's are a wonderful thing (and I own the album on digital), but some albums you just want to own! For me, this was definitely one of them.
