Pure Evoke CD-4 - not fit for purpose

Sent one back - replacement had same faults - intermittent sound defaulting to total silence.
Suggests product quality control is zero and product is not fit for purpose. Mistakenly believed that Pure still had a good name.

Excellent 5th edition
Specialist text of great interest and importance. Not the latest edition but I did not need that for my purposes.
Has reputation of offering clearest explanation of the material at this level of study. Sampling the text (DNA replication) seems to confirm this praise.

Why pay more?
It’s just a metal tube to connect camera to microscope. Why pay more? Needs camera T adapter and is for the smaller eyepiece port (23.2mm). Difficult to find a simple connector without a built in magnifying lens - much more expensive and more restricted field of view.
Not suitable for every purpose (changes focusing distance) but nothing else needed for x1 view.
