A wonderful, Calculus Text
I've owned several Calculus texts, and kept an older copy of Swokowski as a reference. I used it as a refresher, as well as for independent study of concepts that were not covered in my first calculus classes (almost 3 decades ago). That copy is now in storage. I've returned to school in the US, am taking more advanced classes, and desperately needed my old book.
My son came to the rescue and gave me his original copy of Earl Swokowski's Classic Edition. I was so pleased with it that I ordered this copy for my son as a replacement.
The text provides clear explanations and appropriate examples. The problem sets are carefully graded and related to the examples, extension/application problems come later in each set. Everything is pretty self-explanatory. There are no unreasonable surprises, but sufficient challenges (for me at least!).
In my opinion, that is how an textbook should present material. For me, the material in Swokowski's text is so well presented that it is appropriate for self-study as well as for a reference to keep on hand.

Fits my fridge
The drawer fits my refrigerator perfectly, and makes it easier to store fruits and vegetables. It was a little high priced, especially with the shipping, but worth it.
