A decent treat. If you browse a lot, you'll get a lot of use from it.
10 of 10 found this helpful Overall I'm happy with the purchase. It works well as a portable device for viewing things on the web. If you browse on the internet a lot, you'll get a lot of use from it even if you have a laptop. Great for reading papers from the web for example. It switches on instantly. I have a very cheap cover (£8 ish) and as soon as i open it, the ipad comes to live. No waiting for it to boot. I also upload/download documents on it such as reports and texts (pdfs etc) on it which I use for work purposes. Everything is accessible. Very portable and easy to carry around. I have the wifi version but i get decent ish access on the move by 'tethering' my mobile phone via bluetooth (I have a package with 3 and i pay about £4.50 a month for a bolt on which gives me 3gb for doing this). Not always reliable for watching tv via tethering from my phone though but that's no surprise I guess. I got a refurbished version for about £285.00. Not fantastic value I don't think but decent. I've rated value for money average because I see so many low priced tablets around. I guess they aren't apple ones. Unfortunately, after making the horrendous error of opting for a Samsung Omnia rather than a iphone 3 in 2008, I'm too afraid to do anything non apple anymore so I was caught over a barrel pretty much in having to get this one. Still, I went for a lowish spec as I like the thought of carrying it around in my bag etc rather than keeping it at home afraid of anything happening which i prob would do if I paid £300+.
