Well worth buying, and not just for learning with.
This is by far the cheapest and the best camera I own. I also have an iPhone 4 (good camera supprisingly), a Nikon D90 and a Hasselblad 500cm.
The Pentax K1000 is a joy to use. It had only the functions I need. Nothing else to get in the way of focusing on the image I want to get. If it is paired with a good lens (50 f1.7 is a great starting point!) then you couldn't hope for better.
Just make sure to put good quality film in and your set. I recommnd Kodak Tri-X for Black and White and Kodak Ektar or Portra for colour. Kodak Portra is good for Portraits, hence the name.

Hasselblad 500cm + 50mm lens
This medium format film camera is all about quality. Ease of use and convenience have nothing to do with this camera. For this reason I use this camera along side with Nikon D90 and Canon S95. But if what I really want is the best quality image disregarding cost or time then I will use this camera. The choice of film is another thing that makes film cameras such a good proposition for people. Depending on what type of look I want to go for I can choose from various types of film.
The Hasselblad 500 v series cameras feel great to use. They have a very satisfying noise when using the winder and shutter release buttons. This makes you feel like you are using a high quality hand crafted item that was built to last.
Like I said I would have just this camera on its own as its not always convenient enough. But it’s great to have it as an option.

Sony PlayStation Vita Black Handheld System

A lot better than expected.
I bought this purely because I wanted to play the PS1 version of Tomb Raider. I have the Saturn version but I don't like it because it's so blocky I can't see where I'm going.
The PS1 version on the PS TV is much better. It's a very accurate conversion as well.
This PS TV has made me wonder if I could use it to stream Fallout 4 from the PS4 to my computer monitor upstairs instead of buying an expensive new graphics card. The monitor its next to the router and a cable can be used instead of relying on dodgy WiFi.
I recommend people buy this if they like PSP, Vita and PS1 games being played on a big TV.
