Happymodel Y600 Tricopter Frame Kit Review

For the low price this is an excellent well designed model The tail YAW mechanism is well thought out and designed but I would recommend replacing the supplied servo with a hight torque digital servo like the EMAX ES08MDII. The bottom frame plate doubles as a multi layered PDB so makes wiring your ESC's quite a simple neat job. Quality of all the supplied parts is quite high so should last a long time. Along with the recommended servo update you could easily fit one of the many 600 sized retract kits without any modifications as the existing landing gear uses a standard hole spacing. The only downside to this kit is that there appears to be zero spares available from any supplier so if you break anything you end up having to buy another kit just to get the parts, not so bad an option considering the low price, but a pain if you are unlucky enough to keep breaking the same part. That being said I can still recommend this kit.

Not worth using as the tips fall off when it gets hot

Unfortunately whilst this product should have been of use it has one serious design flaw The tip is a push fit, unfortunately its made from a material that when it gets hot it expands so much it just drops off the soldering iron. I tried extra crimping and I tried wire wrapping it, but nothing stopped the tip falling off. A product with potential spoilt by poor manufacturing
