Good choice
We deliberated and deliberated over this car seat - unsure how our 20 month old would take to the change from 3 point harness to having the padded safety bar in front of him but we went for it in the end. He settled into it straight away and now climbs in and sometimes helps us put the safety bar on over him. He seems to slip down a little when he's been sleeping in it on a long trip so I've occasionally stopped the car to re-adjust him but I think that'll get better when he's a bit bigger and it really only happens on very long trips. Generally he seems really comfortable and uses the safety bar as a shelf for his toy train and as a chin/cheek prop when he falls asleep. The seat itself is really easy to install - we use it with the ISO fix settings and find it completely straight forward (and very quick) to transfer between cars. Much less faff than our previous non-ISO fix seat. It also feels pleasingly sturdy and well made. We're really pleased we bought it and feel we made the right decision going for the guardian-fix version in the end as hopefully he'll get years of use out of it.
