A Christian novel based on real life event. A really good read with life affirming detail. Quite graphic imagery of what it was like to be there.

A large volume but really worth reading.

Following on from The Persimmon Tree it is the author's life story, but written in a novel not a biography. Very entertaining and compelling reading. Very entertaining and gives a different perspective of the war in the pacific as part of the author's life and life afterwards.
