One small mistake on the board does not spoil this game which I remember playing as a child
My mother had a Halma set and I remember playing it as a child but none of my friends recognise the name or my description of how the game is played so I was keen to acquire a set so I could show them.
I chose this version because some of the vintage sets on ebay have pieces missing while the "1972" sets have plastic pieces instead of wood.
There is a mistake in the printing of the board in that the larger "yards" marked out by "hedges" instead of "walls" should be in diagonally opposite corners instead of adjacent ones. It is easy to allow for this when playing so it does not spoil the game. The mistake is visible (but not obvious) on the illustration of the item on ebay and it is possible that the vendor is unaware of the mistake so this is not a criticism of them.
The enclosed instructions were an adequate reminder of how the game is played.

An interesting variation on the standard Ticket to Ride game
I've enjoyed playing Ticket to Ride Europe several times in recent years and I was looking for another version. The descriptions indicated that this one is sufficiently different to play and I was not disappointed. The fact that the board covers my home country is a bonus.
